Disability Advocacy
Disability is the experience of any condition that makes it more difficult for a person to do certain activities or have equitable access within a given society.
TMGB INNOVATIONS advocate for people who identify as having a disability within organisations, as well supporting businesses to be more inclusive and accessible.
What is considered a disability?
According to the World Health Organization, disability has three dimensions: Impairment in a person's body structure or function, or mental functioning; examples of impairments include loss of a limb, loss of vision or memory loss. Activity limitation, such as difficulty seeing, hearing, walking, or problem solving.
What is considered a disability in the UK?
The Equality Act says you have a disability if you have a physical or mental impairment that has a substantial, adverse, and long-term effect on your ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities.
